Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 June 2026

MapScout ("we", "us") provides a tool that exports the businesses you view on Bing Maps to a CSV enriched with publicly available, deliverability-checked contact emails. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

Account data. When you sign up we receive your email address and a user identifier from our authentication provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email, and profile picture per your consent.

Usage data. Your extraction requests (search terms and the business listings you select), credit balance, and transaction history — used to operate the service and your account.

Business contact data. MapScout processes publicly available business information (business names, websites, public emails, phone numbers, addresses) sourced from Bing Maps. This is public business data, not private consumer data.

How we use it

To authenticate you, run and meter extractions against your credit balance, process payments, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers

We share data with processors strictly to operate MapScout: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments — we never see or store your card details), Apify (data collection), and Google (optional sign-in). Each handles data under its own policy.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention & your rights

We retain account and usage data while your account is active. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@hyperbach.com.
